College Football on Saturday will see the No. 24 Boise State Broncos travel west to take on the New Mexico Lobos. The game is scheduled for a 7:00 pm EST start time. Currently the odds for the game have the Broncos favored by 25 points.

New Mexico's two wins this season is already the same amount the Lobos were able to get in the last two seasons combined. This is an interesting line for sure. The Broncos are favored by 27 points in this game, but Boise State is only averaging 19 points per game. How is this possible? Boise averaged more than 44 points per game last season but lost Kellen Moore to graduation. This year the team hasn't been able to score an offensive touchdown in two of their first three games. New Mexico has a new coach in Bob Davie and their two wins this season but those wins are over Southern University and New Mexico State. They've also dropped two games as well, getting blown out by Texas and Texas Tech so far this season.

Boise has won all three games in this series and New Mexico will be playing their first home game since coming off a three game road streak. Boise has really struggled to put points on the board this season, ranking 109th in the country. Their defense has been really good, however, giving up just 11 points per game overall. The Broncos have been really good on the road the last few years as well. The Broncos are 9-0 against the number the past few seasons on the road in hte opening half of the season. This year they've gone 2-1 against the number this season.

New Mexico has gotten out to a 2-2 record by running the football with that option. They're averaging 235 yards rushing per contest and have held a big advantage in their wins this season.

Boise QB junior Joe Southwick will need to play better if the Broncos are going to cover the spread in this one. I don't think it's a big concern about whether or not Boise State will win this game, but they are a huge favorite while struggling offensively. The Broncos have just three touchdowns in 12 red zone appearances this season, but maybe that will all change today as the Lobos are giving up 32.5 points per game and 448 yards per game.
