It's a major rivalry matchup on Sunday night as the Boston Red Sox take on the New York Yankees. The game is scheduled for an 8:00 pm EST start time and it will be televised nationally on ESPN. Currently the odds the Yankees as big favorites.

What more can be said about the best rivalry in baseball? The two are battling it out in the American League East, but the Red Sox have fallen on hard times and currently sit three games below the .500 mark and are 12.5 games back of New York. Yes, they're in the cellar. The Yankees won the opening game of the series, only to see the Red Sox win the second game on Saturday. So here we are, on Sunday Night Baseball. Hiroki Kuroda has had a pretty good season so far, winning 11 games and having a decent ERA. He's sported an 8-2 record with a 2.30 ERA in his last 15 starts. Josh Beckett, on the other hand, hasn't been very good. He's already lost 10 games this year and has an ERA north of 5. In New York he has been very good lately. He's thrown 30 1-3 innings in his last four starts at home and has only given up three runs. Beckett has been struggling. The Red Sox have gone 2-9 in his last 11 starts, and he has posted a 7.78 ERA in seven outings since the beginning of July. When Adrian Gonzalez isn't being thrown out of games, he's been hot since the All-Star Break. He's clubbing an average of .371 in the 33 games since the break and he's collected 39 RBI in that span as well. Curtis Granderson and Nick Swisher are going to have to have good games against the Red Sox tonight, especially since Mark Teixeira isn't going to be playing.

Free Pick: Yankees are really expensive tonight, but they're probably going to be winning the game. Hard to play them at this type of price especially in a rivalry game on Sunday Night Baseball on ESPN, but it's a game where anything can happen. Yet, we're going to take the Yankees tonight.
