The Ravens were one of the best teams in the league last season, but they failed, once again, to reach the Super Bowl. If the odds makers at Sportsbook.ag are correct, Baltimore will experience another championship short coming this season. Baltimore Ravens 2012 NFL Predictions and Super Bowl Odds have the team listed at +1400 odds, a number which ranks behind five other teams, ($100 to win $1400) to win the Lombardi Trophy. The Ravens are, however, considered a favorite, along with Pittsburgh, to win the AFC North; both squads are drawing +120 odds to top the division. Baltimore is not expected to match last year’s 12-4 record, though, as it is getting -120 odds to finish Under 10 wins.

Baltimore, per usual, fielded a dominating defense last season, finishing in the top three in both yards and points per game allowed. The Ravens, while no offensive juggernaut, were also respectable on that side of the ball as well. Joe Flacco led the team to 338.7 yards and 23.6 points per game, helping the unit achieve middle of the pack status.

Fourteen players from last year’s squad departed in the off-season, but only two of those were starters. Despite the losses, the Ravens will remain a league power. Cantor Gaming is convinced of it anyway. The Vegas bookmaker, who released point spreads for weeks one through 16 of the 2012 NFL regular season schedule, has Baltimore favored in 10 of 15 games.
