St. Louis Rams 2012 NFL Predictions and Super Bowl Odds

The Rams pieced together a surprising 7-9 record in 2010, but they were unable to build on that campaign, falling back to 2-14 last year. The reversion led to a change at head coach and the departure of 27 players. The overhaul is being viewed with optimism by at least one odds maker as Sportsbook.ag has the Rams favored to register Over 6 wins at -125 odds ($125 to win $100) in their latest St. Louis Rams 2012 NFL Predictions. St. Louis is not considered anything close to a playoff contender by the offshore book, though, drawing +1200 odds to win the NFC West and +5000 odds to win the NFC Championship. Super Bowl Odds have the Rams listed as a 10-1 play to take home the Lombardi Trophy.

St. Louis has endured the worst five year stretch in NFL history, but, if Jeff Fisher’s track record is any indication, the team can expect a turn around sooner rather than later. The development of quarterback Sam Bradford may be equal to the addition of Fisher in how quickly the Rams are able to return to relevance, though.

Bradford had an outstanding rookie season, but he regressed last year as injuries and poor offensive line play led to a 53.5 completion percentage and a 1:1 touchdown to interception ratio.

Perhaps Cantor Gaming doubts Bradford’s ability to rebound or maybe the Vegas based book maker feels there are not enough pieces around the former Heisman winner, but, whatever the reason, it is not expecting much from St. Louis this season. 2012 NFL regular season points spreads (weeks one through 16) issued by Cantor earlier this year have the Rams listed as an underdog in 12 of 15 games.
