The American League beat up on the senior circuit in Interleague action, showcasing some of the best teams in Major League Baseball. Currently, the New York Yankees and the Texas Rangers lead the 2012 American League Pennant Betting Odds courtesy of the Las Vegas Hotel (formerly the Hilton). Both have some decent odds to reach the World Series and are tied based on the oddsmaker's beliefs to reach the fall classic.

The Yankees started slow out of the gates but have stormed back to have a decent season to date, taking first place overall in the American League East. However, the Yankees have dropped two games in a row and now lead the East by just four games over the, yep you guessed it, Baltimore Orioles. Baltimore is actually eight games over the .500 mark and still have massive odds to win the American League, based on perception and the division they play in.

Texas is just a single win away from the 50 mark and currently holds a 5.5 game lead over the Los Angeles Angels in the American League West right now. The Angels have a great core of players but haven't been able to gain any ground on the Rangers to date. However, with there being two Wild Card spots that essentially compete in a play-in game, that gives another team a chance. And often it's just about getting a chance.

In the American League Central, the Detroit Tigers are three games under the .500 mark but still have some pretty good odds to win the American League. The Tigers sit at five games behind the Chicago White Sox while the Cleveland Indians are at 3.5 games back of the Sox. The White Sox have some pretty decent odds at 10/1 to win the Pennant.
