The 2012 NBA Draft gets underway on Thursday evening as each of the teams in the league look to better themselves via college basketball players and international guys. The NBA Draft start time is set for 7 p.m. and it will be televised nationally on ESPN. The New Orleans Hornets are on the clock by winning the draft lottery.
Kentucky center Anthony Davis is pretty much a lock to be the first pick of the NBA Draft. In fact, it's widely accepted and has been talked about for some time that the Hornets will take Davis with the top overall pick. It's probably a good thing as he is regarded as the most ready, cant-miss prospect in this year's class.
The event is being hosted by the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey. Typically, the NBA Draft invites players that will be drafted in the lottery stage of the picks and this year is no different.
