EURO 2012 is down to the semifinals stages in the tournament and the four best teams in the world will fight it out for the championship. Spain, Germany, Italy and Portugal are four teams many considered to each have a chance to win the tournament prior to its start a few weeks ago. Spain is regarded as one of the best soccer teams in the world and they play a style many clubs don't enjoy. In the other semifinal, which will be played on Thursday from National Stadium in Poland, Germany will take on Italy. Mario Gomez for the Germans has already scored three tallies in the tournament and has been a handful to stop. Italy came out of Group C, which was won by Spain, Italy, a team that beat England in penalty kicks 4-2, will have a pretty quick turnaround and play a very good German club coming up on Thursday. After playing to a tie in each of their first two pool play games, the Italians knocked out Ireland 2-0 to reach the knockout stage of the tournament and is still alive.
