Sunday afternoon baseball and we will see the San Francisco Giants take on the Oakland A's in the final game of their series in Oakland. The game is scheduled for a 4:05 (ET) pm start time and it will be televised live on   CSN Bay Area (SF) and CSNCA (Oakland). Currently the odds have the Giants favored at -120while the A's are dogs of +113. The total for the game is at 6 runs.

Free Analysis: The San Francisco Giants built a solid lead on Saturday Night and then held on for dear life as the A's mounted a furious 9th in rally. Bister Posey had two hits including a two run home run, Brandon Belt hit a two run home run, and Pablo Sandoval had two hits as the Giants scored nine runs eight hits to build a 9-4 lead before the A's scored 4 in the bottom of the 9th to make it close. After being shuttled back and forth between San Francisco and Triple-A Fresno last season, Brandon Belt is finally settling in as the Giants’ starting first baseman. Belt extended his hitting streak to a career-best 11 games on Saturday, batting .441 (15-for-34) with four homers and 12 RBIs during that stretch. Limited to six runs while losing six straight in Oakland prior to this series, San Francisco (40-32) has scored 14 total runs in the last two contests to clinch the season series. Pitching has been a problem for them of late as they have allowed 6 rpg in their last 7 games, but they have the right guy on the mound to correct that. Cain (9-2, 2.34 ERA) has won his last eight starts, a career high and the longest win streak in Giants history since Rick Reuschel won eight consecutive starts in 1989. He’s 3-5 with a 2.19 ERA and three complete games in nine career starts against Oakland, but in his last four starts against the Athletics, he has gone 2-1 with an 0.87 ERA. The Athletics, who trail the Rangers by a season-high 10 games in the AL West, come in struggling at the plate as they are batting .226 (44-for-195) over the last seven games. A's outfielder Josh Reddick has homered in three straight games against the Giants. He hit a two-run shot in a 6-2 victory May 20 that helped Oakland salvage the finale of a three-game set at San Francisco, but he has never faced Cain.  It’s been a quiet series for Oakland slugger Yoenis Cespedes, who has gone 1-for-9 with five strikeouts. Cespedes, who hit a walk-off homer against the Dodgers on Thursday, is batting .268 with seven home runs and 30 RBIs. He’s served as Oakland’s designated hitter in each of the past four games while he recovers from a strained left hamstring. Getting the ball today for the A's in A.J. Griffin. Griffin will make his major-league debut in place of Brandon McCarthy, who was scratched because of lingering soreness in his ailing right shoulder. After starting the year at Double-A Midland, Griffin has gone 3-2 with a 2.81 ERA in eight starts at Triple-A Sacramento. He has displayed superb control, striking out 40 and walking only seven.

Free Pick: 6 Runs for a total? Are you serious. These teams have put up 9 and 17 runs in the 2 games  and even though Cain has been solid vs the A's (0.87 ERA in his last 4 starts vs them), I feel that Oakland can at least get 3 runs here. The A's do average 3.8 rpg at home, but in interleague play this year they have put up 5.4 rpg. 3 is not out of the question here. For the Giants, they score very well on the road as they average 4.7 rpg away from home, plus they have scored 5.8 rpg in Cain's winning streak. They do put up just 3.7 rpg in interleague play, but that would be enough in a game with a total this low.  Behind today's pitchers are a couple of struggling pens, so we may get some late runs again. The Giants have a pen ERA of 6.89 in their last 5 games, while the A's have a pen ERA of 4.86 over the same span. This one easily looks like 8 or 9 runs.
