Free Analysis: The New York Yankees only scored runs during one inning on Saturday but that’s all it took as they won game two of their series in Queens. Eric Chavez hit a pinch hit home run which was the difference maker, Nick Swisher had two hits including his 1000th career hit, and Raul Ibanez hit a three run home run that tied the game at the time as the Yankees scored four runs on five hits in all. Raul Ibanez has been successful against Dickey, going 7 for 17 with two home runs in the matchup since Dickey joined the Metsand although he hit that game tying HR last night, he's still batting .143 (7 for 49) in June. The Yankees are batting .217 with runners in scoring position, which is dead last in the American League.  On the mound, in last night's win, Ivan Nova allowed five hits and three runs, two earned, while striking out seven over 5.2 innings for a no decision as it was Clay Rapada who got his second win and Rafael Soriano earned his 14th save. Tonight CC Sabathia gets the ball and he has been among the best pitchers in baseball for the majority of his 12-year career. Sabathia (9-3, 3.55 ERA) is a former Cy Young Award winner and a five-time All-Star, so being tied with four others for the most wins in the AL isn't a surprise. The left-hander has won four of his last five starts behind a 3.16 ERA, and he's coming off a seven-hitter with 10 strikeouts in Monday's 6-2 victory over Atlanta. Sabathia is 3-1 with a 2.25 ERA in four career starts against the Mets, but hasn't faced them since June 20, 2010. He won that day by throwing eight scoreless innings. The Mets will be led by R.A. Dickey tonight, who has been amazing this year. The consecutive one-hitters have been no fluke for Dickey, who has struck out 25 batters in the two games, including a career-high 13 in a 5-0 win against Baltimore on Monday. Dickey has not allowed an earned run in 42 2/3 innings, and has permitted only 21 hits while striking out 63 in his last six starts. He is 3-1 with a 2.30 ERA in nine appearances (three starts) against the Yankees. The Yankees have  won 10 of the last 13 meetings, including four of five in 2012.

Free Pick: Gonna look at the Over in  this one. I know that Dickey hasn't allowed an ER sun te dinosaurs ruled the earth, but this Yankees lineup is good enough to get a few off of him here. The Yanks have averaged 4.9 rpg on the road and 4.6 rpg in inter league play this year. They Have sucked with RISP (Dead last in AL), but that will change soon. This is too good of an offense. The Mets offense is not great as they score just 3.9 rpg at home, but they do hit lefties well, scoring 5 rpg and hitting .274 off of them for the year. Those numbers should continue as CC can be hit on the road. Sabathia has a 5-1 mark away from home, but with a 4.58 ERA and that has his road starts going 6-2 on the year, with an average of 10.4 rpg being scored. The clincher here is the fact that when the Mets face a lefty the OVER is 20-4 on the year. Look for at least 9 runs in this one.
