Wednesday evening in MLB and we will see the Los Angeles Dodgers take on the Okland A's in game 2 of their 3 game series. The game is scheduled for a 10:05 pm (EST) start time and it will be televised live on KCAL (Los Angeles) and CSCA California (Oakland). Currently the odds have Oakland  favored at -109while the Dodgers are dogs of +103. The total for the game is at 7 runs.

Free Analysis: The Dodgers were shut out for only the third time this season in the opener of a nine-game road trip. They are in the midst of a stretch where they play 19 of 25 games away from Dodger Stadium. Owners of the best record in the majors, Los Angeles has alternated wins and losses in its last seven games but still maintains a 4 1/2-game lead over San Francisco atop the National League West. The Dodgers dropped the series opener 3-0 on Tuesday, mustering only two hits in the process.. Last night's weak offensive performance is nothing new of late as they have averaged just 3 rpg on a .218 BA in their last 7 games. Since Matt Kemp went on the disabled list after re-injuring his left hamstring May 30, Los Angeles has five homers in 18 games, with every other MLB team hitting at least 10 in that stretch. That shows that they really miss him. Nathan Eovaldi gets the ball for the Dodgers tonight and he remains in search of his first win of the season. He could easily be 4-0 if the Dodgers provided him with any run support. The 22-year-old righty has allowed only six runs in his four starts, only to see Los Angeles score a total of four runs in that span. He has back-to-back no decisions  despite allowing one run in 12 innings over his last two outings. The Oakland Athletics are taking a page from the playbook of the Oakland Raiders and displaying their own black hole - at least when the Los Angeles Dodgers come to town. The A's have won 12 of the last 16 meetings, including nine of 10 at home while outscoring Los Angeles 65-33. Coco Crisp had two hits and stole three bases Tuesday, extending his franchise-record streak of consecutive successful attempts to 36 dating back to last season. Tommy Milone takes the hill for the A's and he was rocked in his last two starts - both away from home - in giving up 12 runs on 16 hits in only nine innings. That continued a season-long trend for Milone, who has a bloated 7.48 ERA on the road. Conversely, he has been magnificent at home, posting a 4-1 record and microscopic 0.98 ERA in five starts. He had surrendered seven homers in his last four starts. Overall the A's have the 4th best home ERA in the league (2.95) and they come in having outscored their last 7 opponents by a 46-23 count. Despite solid pitching at home the A's are just 16-17 in their own park, while the Dodgers are 18-14 away from home.

Free Pick:  Let's go with the Under here. Don't even look at Tommy Milone's last 3 starts as all three of those starts were on the road and his last 2 were at Colorado and Arizona. A couple of hitters parks, but tonight he is at home where he has been awesome. Tommy has an 0.98 ERA at home (best in the majors), plus an 0.85 WHIP to go along with it, with those home starts averaging just 4.6 rpg. He will be taking on an LA offense that has hit just .219 and put up 3 rpg in their last 7 games, plus they have averaged a mere 1 rpg in Nathan Eovaldi's 4 starts this year. Nathan has really pitched well for LA, with a 1.82 ERA, but thanks to that poor run support the Dodgers are 0-4 in his starts and those starts have averaged just 3 rpg. Tommy should have another solid outing tonight vs an A's squad that hits just .214 at home and scores 3.6 rpg.  This should be a great pitcher's duel in a a pitchers park and we should see no more than 5 runs on the board in this one.
