Manny Pacquiao will square off against the undefeated Timothy Bradley on Saturday, June 9th at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada; the much anticipated bout, which will be broadcast live on HBO Pay-Per-View, has a scheduled start time of 9:00pm ET. Bradley’s WBO light welterweight title will be on the line in the scheduled 12-round battle.
Manny Pacquiao, a champion in six different weight classes at one time or another, will look to add another title to his resume on Saturday evening. Pacquiao, the current WBO welterweight champion, rides a 15 fight win streak into this weekend’s fight. The 33 year old Filipino last fought in November of 2011 when he defeated Juan Manuel Marquez in a 144lb. catch weight fight to retain his WBO welterweight title. The southpaw Pacquiao, who owns a 54-3-2 professional record, has not lost since March of 2005 (unanimous decision Erik Morales).
Timothy Bradley, an orthodox fighter out of Cathedral City, California, brings a 28-0-0-1 record into this weekend’s scrap. He too last fought in November, taking out Cuba’s Joel Casamayor by TKO in the eighth round of the WBO light welterweight battle. The victory marked Bradley’s fourth successful defense of his WBO strap. Bradley, who possesses a 69-inch reach (Pacquiao: 67), has procured 12 of his 28 wins via knockout.
Despite Bradley’s sterling record, he is a 3-1 underdog to Pacquiao. Pacquiao is drawing 1-4 odds ($400 to win $100) to capture the seventh major world title of his career. Manny Pacquiao vs Timothy Bradley - Fury Meets Fists 2012
