NBA Playoffs Odds: Spurs vs. Thunder Picks, Predictions and Spread

The NBA Playoffs continue Wednesday night in Game 6 between the visiting San Antonio Spurs and the Oklahoma City Thunder. The NBA Playoff odds for the game have the visiting Thunder favored by 5 points. The game is scheduled for an 9:00 pm start time and it will be televised live on TNT. The spread shows that bookmakers have a prediction of a series-clinching victory for the Thunder.

Picks: San Antonio was arguably the best team in the NBA for the regular season. Then they ripped off 20 straight wins, which went into the playoffs as well. And on top of that, they took a 2-0 series lead over the upstart Oklahoma City Thunder. And yet, after all of the wins and accolades, the Spurs are now facing elimination right in the face. Oklahoma City rolled off three straight victories and a win tonight would put them in the NBA Finals. They'll also get a chance to close out the Spurs while playing at home tonight. OKC could become the 15th team ever and the eighth team since 2004 to rebound from an 0-2 series hole to win a 7-game series. Manu Ginobili was placed in the starting lineup for Game 5, and got 34 points from him, but it might have messed up the rotation and flow from the bench. "I think we have the right game plan," Spurs All-Star Tim Duncan said. "We just need to play a little better for a little longer." Duncan is going to be a major difference in tonight's contest, as the aging Spurs are obviously having troubles with the much younger, more athletic Thunder squad. OKC won by 20 points in the third game and have picked up the last two wins by a combined nine points. Oklahoma City's James Harden has hit some big triples in the last two games and in Game 5 showed why Oklahoma City needs to have him on the floor as much as possible. Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook have helped the Thunder win the three straight games as they've taken advantage to build this into a possible Finals team. The biggest matchup individually in tonight's game is going to be Thabo Sefolosha trying to stop Tony Parker at the point guard position. Sefolosha is a much bigger player than Parker but hasn't seen that size deny his quickness. The Thunder moved to that matchup in Game 3 and it's obviously worked.

Prediction: Something tells me the Spurs aren't going to recover from losing three straight games to the much younger, more athletic Thunder team. The Spurs have been really good both during the regular season and in the playoffs, but the magical run probably comes to a screeching halt tonight. I'm expecting San Antonio to come out fierce, strong and focused, but that doesn't mean they'll be able to win the game. I think Oklahoma City, at home with a juiced up crowd, is just going to be too much for the Spurs to overcome. Thunder 100, Spurs 88
