Oregon won its third straight conference title last season, but the latest 2012 Pac 12 Football Championship Odds are eyeing another school for this year’s crown. The USC Trojans, fresh off probation, are a -200 (bet $200 to win $100) moneyline play to win the Pac 12 in 2012. The Ducks are still getting their due, however, drawing 2-1 odds ($100 wins $200) to hold off Matt Barkley and company and lay claim to another championship.
Pac 12 Favorites
USC Trojans (-200): After two “down” years, the Trojans finally returned to prominence (despite not being able to play in a bowl or the conference championship game) with a 10-2 season that featured a win over Pac 12 champ Oregon. USC returns 17 starters from the 2011 team, including Heisman candidates Matt Barkley and Roberts Woods.
Oregon Ducks (2-1): The Ducks may not able to match the production of the past two seasons, both of which featured 12 wins, but they still appear to be the class of the Pac 12’s North Division. Gone are running back LaMichael James and quarterback Darron Thomas; however, Chip Kelly’s offense and running back De’Anthony Thomas are still in place.
Washington Huskies (8.5-1): The Huskies are a long shot considering they lost to USC and Oregon by a combined 40 points last season, but they do look like the next best thing in what appears to be a watered down conference. Sophomore Keith Price is the real deal at quarterback, nevertheless Washington will need to catch lightning in a bottle to overcome the Trojans or Ducks.
