The Heat and Spurs also are tied with the 2012 NBA Championships odds at +120. This implies that both the Heat and Spurs have a 45.45% chance of winning the 2012 NBA Title. The +600 odds for the Oklahoma City Thunder imply the team has just a 14.29% chance of beating the Spurs and taking the NBA title home. Even worse, the Celtics are 25/1 odds to beat the Heat and to win the NBA championship. Those odds give Boston just a 3.85% chance of winning the crown.

When the NBA Playoffs began, the Miami Heat were the odds-on favorite to take home the title at +165 odds. The Thunder actually had better odds to win the NBA title at +230 over the Spurs at +275 when the post season began, but those odds have drifted dramatically as the Spurs haven't lost a game in more than 45 days overall, dating back to the regular season. The Chicago Bulls were also one of the favorites to win the NBA title, but with Derrick Rose falling to a knee injury, they essentially were lost for good and had no chance to win anything.
