Los Angeles Lakers at Denver Nuggets Start Time, Odds, Free Pick

http://media.washtimes.com/media/community/viewpoint/entry/2012/05/08/Lakers_Nuggets_-001_s640x427.jpg?73b8e21685896c3f2859310aaa5adb253919b641

It's Game 6 as the Los Angeles Lakers travel to take on the Denver Nuggets with a chance to close out Denver and move onto the second round. The game is scheduled for a 10:30 p.m. start time and it will be televised nationally on TNT. Currently the odds for the game have the Nuggets favored by less than a basket at 1.5 points with the total sitting at 197 points.

Free Analysis: It's another close out game tonight as the Lakers have a chance to march into the second round with a win. Denver climbed back into the series with a road win in Game 5, shocking the Lakers 102-99. Los Angeles is going to have to come ready and willing in tonight's game because we know the Nuggets are going to play all out. They're a team that wants to get out in transition and run the "older" Lakers into the ground. Many people think the higher altitude of Denver could prove to be a factor for the Nuggets tonight with an older team like the Lakers, but I'm not entirely sure I believe that. The Lakers are an older team, yes, but they are also a much more intelligent team. Kobe Bryant, Andrew Bynum and Pau Gasol are all looking to get a win tonight and they'll be the keys for the Lakers. Somehow the Lakers let Nuggets center JaVale McGee dominate for 21 points and 14 rebounds, with a bevy of dunks late in the contest. Andre Miller also came up huge for Denver with 24 points and eight assists, playing good defense as well. Can the two help Denver pick up a home win and force a Game 7? We saw the Lakers 7-footers play almost soft against McGee, who was beating them up and down the floor and pretty much out-muscling them inside. Don't expect that to happen again tonight. LA would have to play the Oklahoma City Thunder in the second round, so maybe they were looking ahead last game. Could that happen again tonight? Ty Lawson going to be huge tonight for the Nuggets. He can move up and down the floor better than anyone in the NBA. Both teams are going to probably be feeling some pressure tonight, which means the veteran Lakers should be more adapt to winning.

Free Pick: We're going to take the Lakers in this game because they are a better team and the more clutch team in my opinion. This game is going to be a war between two clubs looking to gain the upper hand. The Lakers got beat in transition at home and this McGee guy essentially torched them inside. We are expecting that to not happen again today because LA will make the adjustments necessary. Los Angeles is in a spot where they probably SHOULD win and probably WILL win as well. Lakers move on after tonight.
