NBA Friday Los Angeles Lakers at San Antonio Spurs Odds, Start Time, Free Pick

It's a huge NBA Western Conference matchup on Friday night as the Los Angeles Lakers travel to take on the San Antonio Spurs. The game is scheduled for a 9:30 p.m. start time and it will be televised nationally on ESPN. Currently the odds for this game have the Spurs favored by 6 points with the total sitting at 204 points.

Free Analysis: Both teams are going to make the Western Conference playoffs this season. Yet, the San Antonio Spurs (45-16) handled the Los Angeles Lakers (40-23) earlier this week, drilling them 112-91 as Kobe Bryant was sidelined. The Lakers won the first game in the series back last week. They'll also have Kobe back in the lineup tonight for the first time in more than a week. San Antonio is currently seeded as the top overall team in the West and have won five straight games. They sit just a half a game ahead of the Oklahoma City Thunder in the overall standings. In the Spurs win earlier this week, Tony Parker had 29 points and 13 assists while Tim Duncan tossed in 19 points with eight rebounds as San Antonio snapped a three-game losing streak in the series. The Lakers are currently in first place in the Pacific division and are holding off the surging Clippers for the third overall spot in the West. Andrew Bynum and Pau Gasol are playing much better together. Bynum had 31 points and nine rebounds while Gasol added 22 points, 11 rebounds and 11 assists in the team's win over Golden State on Wednesday. They're going to have to continue to play well because the Spurs are just dominating everyone right now. San Antonio rocked Sacramento 127-102 on Wednesday and don't seem to want to be slowing down. The Lakers have won twice in a row in San Antonio but the Spurs have been very good this season, going 25-5 at home. The Lakers are actually below the .500 mark on the road this season with a 15-16 record. Bynum had a career-best and NBA season-high 30 boards back on April 11 that helped Los Angeles outrebound San Antonio 60-33.

Free Pick: I don't like the points with the Lakers in this game, based on how the Spurs are playing. San Antonio is the top spot in the West and the Lakers are just getting old. But then again, the Spurs aren't exactly a young team either. I don't like the over in the total but the under is looking nice. I know the Spurs are just rolling up points on everyone, but I don't see the Lakers giving up 127 like the Kings did. I'll take the under and focus on both teams finishing just under the 100 point margin.
