The Miami Heat and Lebron James once again pulled a disappearing act in the 4th quarter as Dirk Nowitzki slammed it home at the 2:45 mark for the lead and eventual victory as the Mavericks went on to win 112-103 Thursday night. NBA betting odds had the Mavericks listed as a three-point favorite, but by tip the public bettors and "sharp money" had the game down to a "pick". In what he called his "now or never" game, Lebron once again failed to show up in the fourth to the joy of not only the Dallas Mavericks, but also the entire city of Cleveland. The game tonight is vital to both teams as using this exact historical sequence of wins based on road and away; the team up 3-2 is 4-4 to win the NBA Title. The interesting part is that if the team up 3-2 loses game #6, they all have went on to also lose game #7. If you toss out all the variables on how a team was able to get up 3-2 in the NBA Finals, the leading team is 34-7 lifetime to end up winning the championship.
NBA Free Pick: This game opened up at Miami Heat -6.0 and is all the way down to -4.5 with 66% of the public (according to Sportsbook Spy) betting their money on the Dallas Mavericks. Even though we are no fan of the negative progressive "martingale" type betting, we have to assume Lebron and company can't possibly squander another 4th quarter? Once again the Heat had a lead (100-97) late in the game (3:38 left) to only let the Mavericks storm back and snatch victory from defeat. The fact is Miami Heat turnovers and Dallas Mavericks three-pointers were the difference in the last game. Miami will need to make a statement tonight or the series is over. Despite everything, with Lebron seeming to be out of the zone (11 total points in the 4th quarter of the entire NBA Finals), we are only going with a small opinion on the Heat.
