Oscar Odds for 2011

83rd Academy Awards and Oscar Awards Odds

The 83rd Academy Awards are this Sunday and we are going to take a look at the Oscar Odds for 2011 below. The King's Speech received the most overall nominations at twelve, with True Grit coming in second at ten and both Inception and The Social Network tied with eight each.

In checking with some offshore sportsbook operators, the Oscars are one of the most bet non-sports event outside of the Presidential Election. Even though if sounds funny, this year the books are moving the numbers on this event like it was the Super Bowl. Word is that the past few years they have not faired too well overall and are looking to shut down any wagers that seem to have "value".

When: Sunday, February 27, 2011
Start Time for 83rd Academy Awards: 8:00pm EST
T.V.: ABC
Where: Kodak Theate (Los Angeles, California)
Host: James Franco, Anne Hathaway
