Analysis:Someone has to - I am taking the over as well - and yes, I saw the blast on the Bulls to a better number. What's done is done. There are 86% of the early bets on Chicago, so you'd almost expect that. We faded the Bulls in Charlotte last week for an easy win - and until they win a road game other than at Brooklyn, I can't back them on the road. Yes, I do know the 76ers are winless - but they're not playing nearly as badly as those first two games against Boston and Utah would lead us to believe. They lost to a good Orlando squad by 8 - which was the second of a B2B after only losing at Cleveland by six the night before. In fact, their last four games have all been fairly tight. I might concede that Chicago has the better interior defense, but Philadelphia has shooters - Stauskas, Canaan, and McConnell can all shoot over the defense. The Bulls are only scoring 38% of their points IN the paint, which is also tough to back on the road - needing shooters to shoot. Philadelphia has statistically been the better offensive rebounding team, more block per game, more steals per game, and more fast break points per game (which you'd expect with more steals). Much like the Charlotte game, the 76ers have 10 guys averaging double-digit points, so far more options to get the right combination on the floor. Conversely, the Bulls have six. If Butler's not scoring, the Bulls are usually in some trouble. Both teams are averaging giving up over 100+ points per game (hence the over) - Philadelphia has been getting to the line more (and teams usually get more calls at home) - Philadelphia has a (to date) terrible perimeter defense (hence the over) - Chicago opponents FG's ATTEMPTED per game is second only to the Clippers (hence pace/over) - the 76ers opponents have attempted about 9 less per game (hence the 76ers) - so in the end it just won't (shouldn't) be the Bulls and the over - so I am taking the other side(s). We just need the 76ers to get to 95 points not to lose both sides - they scored 100+ in two games against Cleveland, and 95+ in three of their last four, so they SHOULD.
Not cool - and the reason for the +10 these days -
Noel is out for Monday's game against the Bulls with a sore wrist, Keith Pompey of the Philadelphia Inquirer reports. (3 minutes ago)Data Provided By
