Analysis: Two team, six point (-110)
teaser. Just taking the six points gets us above the numbers we
want. Plus, if the Rams cover early, we have some hedge options
available if we should so choose. Thanks as always for being with
us.
St. Louis Rams +11.5 to Cincinnati Bengals
+7.5
Sunday 11:40AM: I do suppose the line move indicates
the Rams might well be winners. I won't add them as a stand-alone
play because we already have marbles on this game, and with the
line move in both this and the Bengals game I'd just as soon be
conservative with our money. However, I am personally going to
throw a unit on the Rams. And, of course if they cover the first
half of the teaser, the option of hedging tonight's bet with the
Steelers is even more viable since we were on the right side of
that line move. As far as the Colts game, we certainly (at least
long-term people) were on the wrong side of that move, and the
wrong side of money. I have to think that unless Trent Richardson
runs wild, the Colts still win this game. If I had a do-over today,
I'd play the Colts ML. Also, I don't get the total coming down in
the Houston-Baltimore game, and really don't see how that doesn't
go over. Under the key # of 48 it's hard not to fire a marble on
that one. We shall see, but I'm just passing on information. IF we
get the early one(s) we could, for long term people, add a later
game. Both those games are tough. I personally don't get how
Oakland doesn't crush Jacksonville, but it (and the line move)
looks too easy. As far as the Patriots game goes, it surely looks
like "they" think New England wins handily, and as a fan I would
appreciate not having drama, but I've seen too many Jets games and
anything can and usually does happen. These are the games where
onside kicks to start the game and fake punts in your own territory
usually crop up, at least by the Jets. The surely know they cannot
man-up and outscore New England, hence I also lean over a
little.
And yes I hate that it looks like the Browns will go
off as the listed favorite. The sharps are not always right, but at
the very least I totally misread which way this line would go. Good
luck today and going forward, and thanks as always for your
trust.
