Analysis: On this July
4thholiday, ironically we are looking at a game north of
the borderwith the Jays big bats looking
to take this home series vs the Royals. In the last five games the
Jays bats have been hitting .319 and put up nine runs per game
against right handed pitching Looking to clinch the series,we will
back the home side Blue Jays.
Carlos Villanueva
makes his second start of the season after being thrusted into the
starting rotation following injuries to Branden Morrow and Kyle
Drabek. He also earned his chance back as a starter never giving up
more than one run in any appearance when he came out of the bullpen
and now sits 2-0 with a 3.52 ERA on the year.
Another Jay is
getting another shot as Adam Lind is going ballistic with three
homers in the last five games after almost six weeks in the minors
from lack of production following 84 homers over the last three
years. These are the types of 'comeback' performances the Jays will
need to continue to contend for the wildcard playoff position. Take
