Analysis: The vig is higher in some places and less in others, but if this game is going to be that low scoring, give me the run and the assured nine at bats. If Dickey goes another month without giving up a run, so bet it, but I looked back at what the Orioles did to Wakefield last season with essentially the same lineup, and the crushed him. Yes, different year and different pitcher, I get that. And I get that Arrieta has to hit. Jakes' only struck out four times in fifty-four at bats, and it's not like Dickey is going to blow the ball by him. In fact, it's typically pitchers that swing at air that might hit a knuckleball by accident. Anyway, Arrieta has been arguably Baltimores' best starting pitcher and has been considerably better away from Camden Yards, actually, so at this price I will make the bet, and came close to actually just taking the ML. Clearly there is value in it, as the Orioles ARE eight games over .500 and this IS the Mets we're talking about.
