Pregame CEO and Super Bowl media darling R.J. Bell breaks down Super Bowl PROP BET VALUE from both a matchup and line perspective, with host Dan Bebe! RJ is back for round two of Super Bowl handicapping, this time focusing on the lack of arbitrage opportunities in a close game, his favorite prop bets, and the RJ-coined term "Less than Optimally Correlated Reverse Arbritrage" in prop handicapping - all on this Monday "Today in Sports Betting!" (January 31, 2011)
Dan and RJ- Great discussion. This morning, the great Pat Summerall, said basically (on Mike and Mike of ESPN this morning) that The Super Bowl has become something, his first love pro football, has grown in such magnitude, far beyond what he ever could imagine. That being said by one of the "founding fathers" (certainly by acting as TV play by play announcer, and as a plyer for the N.Y. Giants in the great championship game vs. the Colts, the first overtime championship game) of this great sport NFL Football, certainly "the props" wil become more popular and will grow with the rest of the Super Bowl as well. So, I found it interesting, and glad that RJ picked this topic for discussion for today. I might be mistaken, but when I lived in Vegas, and walked across the stret from my condo at The Jockey Club to The old Churcghill Downs Race and Sportsbook everyday, I can't seem to remember more than 5 props for the Super Bowl.
So thank you for expounding on this topic, which is now here to stay, and seems to be growing in leaps and bounds.

There's no question, Harry, that props are becoming bigger than the event, almost like people watching the game just to see the television advertisements.
I'm personally looking forward to a few of RJ's top props as the week goes on.
