Did the Houston Rockets catch a break when Tracy McGrady went down for the season, as stupid as that may sound I believe it to be true. Yes, the Rockets are a better team without their star Tracy McGrady and here's why.

Without McGrady the Rockets are more physical with him out of the line up. The Rockets slow the game down and bang on you down inside. McGrady is a scorer and when he was in the line up he was always looking to take the shot. Even his teammates would look to him to be the scorer. With McGrady out of the line up the Rockets play more like a team that works the ball around and the open guy takes the shot when it's there rather than trying to force the ball to McGrady.

The numbers don't lie as the Rockets were 31-21 with Mc Grady in the line up. With McGrady out of the line up the Rockets finished the season on a 22-8 run.

And lets not forget that during his career Tracy McGrady's team is 0-7 in the first round of the playoffs. So do I think Tracy's injury was a blessing in disguise...You Bet I do!
