After a nice 2-0 start the Pittsburgh Steelers got blitzed by the Eagles defense relentlessly on Sunday. The Eagle defense held the Steelers to just 6 points. This was the same Eagle defense that was torched for 41 points last Monday against the Cowboys. Big Ben has been taking a beating so far this year as he is getting sacked on a regular basis.

The Eagles sacked the Steeler QB's 9 times and forced Ben Roethlisberger to the sidelines late in the game. The Steelers offensive line has long been one of their trademarks but this years line is suffering badly. The Steelers need good offensive line play to make their offense click as they love to pound the ball down your throat first then let Ben kill you through the air when you come up to help contain the run.

The Steelers lost one of the best offensive lineman in the league when Alan Faneca left to sign with the Jets this past off season. It was a move the Steelers had to do as Faneca as good as he is was becoming a cancer in the clubhouse. His loss is really starting to show but that may not be the entire root of the problem.

This is the second year without Russ Grimm who was regarded as one of the best Offensive line coaches in the NFL. As you can see the line play has improved in Arizona with Russ Grimm's guidance as Kurt Warner is the #8 ranked QB in the league.

Keep an eye on the Steeler line play because without a good offensive line it's like trying to drive a car with a flat tire. This could cause problems for the Steelers covering the spread as a favorite. I will keep an eye on this situation.
