The World Champion Spurs took a major blow on Tuesday Night when they dropped Game 4 of the Western Conference Finals 93-91. The Spurs rallied late erasing a 7 point deficit in the waning seconds to actually have the final shot down 2 points. The final shot missed as what looked to be a foul wasn't called and suddenly the World Champs looked tired and old. The fact that they are starting to look tired and old may have more to do with the schedule maker than anything else. The schedule maker was kind to the Spurs in the first 2 rounds.

Game 1 was on April 19th
Game 2 was on April 22nd

As you can see in the first two rounds the Games in Bold were Games in which the Spurs had more than one Day off between Games. This was huge for a team that is getting old. It gave Tim Duncan extra time to rest those legs and knees. Duncan is a warrior but in the 4th last night you could tell he was tired. Duncan's shots were coming up short which is what happens when your legs are shot you start hitting the front of the rim. Granted Duncan got 29 points but he was only 10 of 26 from the field.
The Lakers/Spurs series started on Wednesday after their Game 7 on Monday and every game in this series has been played on one days rest. So it looks like the sun may be setting on the Spurs as the youthful Lakers look to advance to the NBA Finals on Thursday Night on their Home Floor. If Phil Jackson was smart which he is the Lakers should be running and gunning from the start to wear out the Spurs and slay the defending World Champs once in for all.
