Caesar's Palace was the place to be this Weekend if your a Poker Player. Just like Matt Damon said in the opening moment of the Movie Rounders if you can't spot the sucker at the Poker table in the first 30 minutes you are the sucker. Well with the Heads up Tournament being filmed this weekend there I knew this is where I would be playing as there would be more fish here than a freshly stocked lake. Boy was that true. Thank God for Poker on TV as it makes people really think they can play the game.

I played there all weekend and had winning sessions all weekend. The NBC Heads-UP tournament brought together Poker's Best along with Specially invited celebrities playing as well. Among the celebrities playing were Jason Alexander(George from Seinfeld), Shannon Elizabeth (Hot chick from American Pie) and Orel Hershiser (former major league pitcher). Orel Hershiser was the surprise this year making it to the Elite 8. Remember last year Shannon Elizabeth made it to the Final 4..God she's easy on the Eyes!!

Chris Ferguson made it to the Championship Match for the third time out of the four year history of the Heads-Up Tournament and finally got to the Winners Circle after being a bridesmaid twice before.

But back to my adventures as I knew the tables would be soft so like a shark who smells blood in the water I scoped out my table to feed on. Well things were going just fine till RJ Bell stopped by to say Hi and tell me about his hand of the Century. I catch pocket Q's in late position and someone raised in front of me with 3 callers and action to me. I re-raise and get 2 callers. The flop comes perfect for me as the Board is Queen high 10JQ. Yes there is a straight out there but they have to have AK or K9 not hands that should have called my big preflop re-raise. So at this point I feel we are golden. It is checked around to me and a fire out a Big Bet. I get  one  call. I know he is on a draw if he wasn't he would of moved in right there not to get counterfeited if he already had the straight.  Give me a low card and we punish him on the turn. Bingo low card now we fire $100 bet at him giving him horrible odds to chase his draw. He goes into the tank forever then calls. As RJ looks on the final card is turned and the guy hits his miracle on the River. He was a 80/20 Underdog with one card to go but got lucky. To ease my Pain as RJ is counting his wad again he says what are you going to do you played it correctly and a Bad Player got lucky..Thanks RJ I feel so much better!

Well as RJ and his friend George headed off for another fun filled night on the Vegas Strip I was still fuming and really went  on tilt when 5 minutes later the guy who sucked out on me got up and cashed out. WTF there goes my money with no chance to get it back. Now I'm really tilting but then like a message from heaven I saw the light at the end of the Tunnel it was an angel from heaven.

This lady sits down at my table and buys in for more than double the standard buy in for this table. But that's not the best part I quickly scan the table to see if anyone else knows who she is and all I see are 8 other players who look like kids on Christmas morning. Yes they all know that Jamie Gold's mother just sat down to play. Jamie Gold was the 2006 World Series of Poker Winner and if you watched it on any of the 1000 times ESPN has shown it you saw his mother right there in every shot.

I knew what was about to happen everytime she entered a pot every one would call trying to beat her to have a story to take home. Well that changed my game plan completely as now I too will play more hands knowing if I connected I could trap these people for all their money. Well folks it was like shooting fish in a barrel as the chips quickly made there way back to me. In fact RJ stopped back on his way out just as I was stacking a monster of a pot. That may have been the sweetest table I've ever sat at and I hated to leave but work was calling so I had to call it a night but not before I took several racks to the Cashiers Window...Thank You Mrs Gold.
