thank the heavens i played a small unit on them. i wish had more plays... i only made plays on phoenix/ny over, houston and golden state. as well as a 2nd half play on orlando. i was considering playing sacramento, clippers and toronto. if only i made those plays would of most definitely took the whole week off.
I know Denmark. I'm bitter that I pushed on Boston and that OKC had a mental meltdown at the end. Dan, screw that. We had the right side. OKC is a penetrate & score team and they lost their identity. Like you said earlier "This is amazing -- OkC can ONLY score on layups...how they're even within striking distance is beyond me!" They did get pounded on the boards but that's to be expected. I thought they played great defense tonight. Playoff revenge, 0-10 @ Staples, late-evening stand-alone public game, I believe that it was the right side.
Mark, I'll elaborate in the new blog
Dan -- please humor me with some Capping 101 as to why you feel that was the "wrong call". If OKC doesn't underachieve beyond the arc, this is a completely different beast. You saw why I keep crying for a legitimate big guy in the middle (Kristic and Collison are solid...but not quite the guys for the post IMO) since we go from cold to ice cold on the outside.
NEW BLOG!

Well, OkC shoots 33.3% from 3 as a team...I'd say it's fair to say they underachieved tonight...
Simple fact is, though, this was a coin-flip, and I did not expect that. I capped it wrong, and while it's absolutely true that we've been getting WILDLY unlucky with game-endings lately, I was not expecting it to come down to whether OkC could cut a 5-point deficit to 3. I expected someone to be taking a final shot to win. Wrong call.
Tree Killer... I'd let ya! I really felt that OKC had a chance to win straight up going into the game.
I need a Jack Daniels drink...let's get 'em tmrw.,Dan.
No...seriously...OKC doesn't hit threes. I forget this thing was on TNT tonight so you got to witness what I get to see night in and night out. Three point land isn't kind to KD and Company. The phantom foul on Durant was a catalyst but they should have been able to capitalize from there. Crazy ending, tough loss.
yeah damn i thought that 6-0 run was a sign for something. i mean the oddest things happened in this game in the last minute. westbrook missed a relatively easy layup (for him anyway), missed 2 free throws with it. and that 2 - 22 3 pointers. even sacramento would of had more 3 pointers with 22 attempts.
oh well..
Guess I'm a better opening act than a closer -- that was some whack sh*t but pretty well sums up how most of my plays last week went, too. I gotta go use some rogaine for this one...
denmarkok, glad you won but if you were sitting next to me, i would punch you
Just scrolled through the blog...um, OKC can't hit three point shots. Everyone except guys named Green and Harden seem to know that...but they still jack them up. I had OKC on a Teaser (yeah.. the MLK Day Teaser Train) with Portland and Orlando so all was good here but it's a frustrating loss for my Thunder nonetheless. They've got to find a way to strike from the perimeter or else people will collapse on them in the paint like LA did that last quarter.
dan, thanks for hosting this today. i know we are all about to lose our minds.
Sigh... 2-for-22 from 3-point land. Hate to get beat by a scoring anomaly like that, but i guess it happens. OkC should have covered that game 10 times over, but tonight, we were on the wrong side. That sucks.
