What a day, eh guys? Glad I didn't make any plays on that Indy/Sactown game. Nice teaser hit, Rolll!!!
John, you're absolutely right -- ALWAYS try to learn something from every game. I'm not sure about the Suns being as bad as they looked yesterday. It was just a bad spot for 'em coming off that stinker in NY.
hey dan wonder how many times when a team loses the game beforethe game they are looking ahead to do they actually lose that next game too.probably a lot more in bb than football because in bb you miss a shot you lose confidense and vice versa.never stop learning, phoenix is a pretender and cleveland is a true contender.its lakers, orlando, boston and cleveland.barring injuries everybody else is fighting for fifth place.just a thought when i' in a thoughtfull mood
damn I<m sure glad i did'nt bet clemson tonight.just read some of the blogs and i dont know if theres anything more frustrating in this life than watching a big lead slip away at the end of agame that you knew you had won.I swear i've never been madder in my lifethan i was after suffering a bad beat like that.congratulations guys for controlling your temper.the good thing about it though ,after paying your money is you'll learn more from that one loss than a hundred wins.the thought just occured to me today that instead of going to the box score bto figure out how we lost that game maybe we should go back to the box score to figure out how we won that game.the thing about people like us we might rest but we wont ever give up,every defeat is like a investment in the future.go get them tomorrow,if not tomorrow, the next day,if not then the next year.we dont give up because even when we lose we are still winners
Woo Hoooo... just hit my teaser with Indiana +6 )6point tease)
So glad I did that!
Final 110-105 Sacramento
I hear ya, Rolll -- never liked today's NBA card, and I think the results definitely justify that. No reason for me to just toss units out there, ya know?
I hope folks followed the Cavs play on our podcast, and we have a pending podcast lean on the Sac/Indy Over, as well!
Tomorrow, short NBA card, big game up in Oregon, should be a fun day on the show, to be sure.
I need to go back and check some records, but I THINK...don't quote me...I THINK I've got 12-8 since November 23 on OFFICIAL POSTED plays (I need to start keeping a better record).
I DO know, though, that my last 3 Top Plays have hit, as well as what I called the "Game of the Time Longer Than a Day" on the Bobcats, so I'm starting to land the big ones, and that's a great sign, at least in my head, that I'm seeing things a bit more clearly lately. Still down a couple units on the year after a very screwball first couple weeks, but we're storming back!
Man really liked the Cavs tonight as they blow away Phoenix (on a B2B) and the Wiz only fail to cover by 1. Other than that it's been a profitable day for me...
Never will I have that many plays on my card again...to much sweating going on...even though i'm all of 160 pds soaking wet!!
The CBB guys at Pregame made it happen (plays not posted) but I love to tease the plays they give! The 1 and 2 point loses seem to be killing everybody so the tease never hurts :-)
Have a good rest of the night
Wow, really thought I posted my plays in here...I have WAY too much going on. I posted in the podcast thread that I put TEENY TINY plays on Cavs, Wizards and Nets. And when I say small, I mean QUITE small. Cavs was the best of the 3.
just got back, yeah i really like n.j I was reading the box scores every night(missedlast night)to figure out,how the hell did i lose that game and one of the things i noticed was how many games are decided in the nba on who shoots better from three point land and of course theres rebounds and free throws.the worst team can beat the best team, usually when one of their players goes off, like michael beasley last night, know he had at least 35 so who could go off for n.j. devin harris and chris roberts maybe combined withbrook lopez,no dampier.besides even if they dont win maybe dallas will let them lose close.that -7 line is a sucker bet, plus i'm pretty sure the nba doe'nt want them breaking that record, you know parity and all.if the sec can get away with it why not the nba, like to see that line go up.before the suns got beat by the knicks it was the hornets, they got outrebounded by 30,the knicks hit 14 threes last night, mich st. hit a bunch of threes before n.c,i dought they do it again tonight orlando,my instincts are telling me might just cover that 13 tonight
Hahaha, my pleasure John! I like having you in this blog -- keeps me on my toes and keeps the conversation going!
I also wanted to note that I am considering a tiny play on Jersey. Might have said it above, but when I listed the potential games 2 posts up, I forgot to put them in there.
thanks for making me laugh dan and yeah not going to worry about anything today.i'll tell you looked at the card late last night, did'nt like it,this morning, did'nt like it and right now, maybe a little better.i've had some really good days on cards like this.I really like oregon state tomorrow even before steves blog and the over. dropped to 9.5 and ou went up.what do you think, the best way to play it? still like pho over213.5.anything up to 230 with phoenix i will never play under. might play pho+8.two good bets.did that line drop to 7? one of the philly players said,we play hard right to the end and the more i think about it,houston-2.5 even though accuscore says clips should be favored.I can hear it now,you lost twice to the clippers?? huhhuhhuh
Truthfully, Rolll, not really!
I know, it's really sad for me to say, but this night is going to be notable for its lack of really good values.
I'm looking into a couple of small plays, including the Wizards, Cavs (as mentioned on the podcast), and potentially a late play in the Pacers/Kings game (though after watching this line all day, I'm not quite sold on it).
Time will tell, boys!!
Got any STRONG leans tonight Dano?
damn John, I can barely keep up with you!!
I gotta say, the more I look at today's card, the less I like it. I'll probably have a play, but I would think 2 max, and maybe only one.
did a little research, changed my mind on ok city like philly+6,like indy+2 and n.jersey+7.5 cleve, pho over 213.5 andthe bulls-7.5 over183.I<m new to posting plays.right now strongest lean is chicago and over and strongest play pho, cleve over playing 2 ,3 winners today,no losers and no close winners oh believe it or not also leaning clippers even though they beat houston 95 to 82 on dec13 the reason i say that is because if two teams play each other 4 times per year no team wants to lose 3 of 4 or if its 2 times a year go o and 2.they dont want to hear about from coaches, friend s and other players over the summer.its a pretty strong angle for me in the past
A lot of odd lines - hoping things get a little more clear as the afternoon progresses!
