Daily Message:
Last night it was a tough one for me to swallow due to my
struggles on the totals plays. On the sides plays we were a perfect
2-0, but just 1-4-1 on the totals. Some games turned into one sided
blowout wins and the last quarter was just a mere trash quarter
played by the second units, that's why we lost the "Over" plays
with CLE/ATL & OKC/NYK. Well, we have to move on and for
tonight I have my biggest play of the season so far! It is a rare
Triple Dime Play!! I remember that we are now +19.20 units for the
season! Final Update: 2 plays for tonight.
FREE PREMIUM PLAY:
NBA - 701 San Antonio Spurs @ 702 Orlando Magic
***SINGLE DIME PLAY***
Projected line: 202 points
In the recent past, a game between the Spurs and the Magic with a line
of 198 points would be almost impossible to happen due to the defensive
prowerness of these two teams. However we are dealing with two different
teams right now and in my opinion we should be dealing with a line in
the 200’s points.
The Spurs are coming from a nice but tough home win against the
Nuggets. I had the Under in that game in which ended being a “push” and I
must admit that we had some lucky with the play. The Nuggets were
shooting 57.4% from the field after three quarters when Greg Popovich
decided to use a zone defense that worked brilliantly! The Nuggets
missed 17 of their first 20 shots in the fourth quarter and were shut
out for nearly five minutes! Besides that, it was another demonstration
of how efficient the Spurs’ offense is this season! I’ve just checked
their season numbers and right now their offensive efficiency numbers
are higher than for example any regular season numbers of the great
Phoenix Suns teams with Mike D’Antoni!
For tonight, they have to play a back to back game in Orlando, but
this isn’t problematic for them. They already had two similar spots (b2b
games on the road being the underdogs) and in these two games they
scored 117 points against Oklahoma City and 113 points against the
Nuggets last week. They have a terrific ball movement and multiple
offensive threats all over the floor!
On the other end, the Orlando Magic is still a working in progress
project after all the trades they have made. However I must confess that
I liked what I’ve saw against the Mavericks in the last game even
though it was a great defensive team and they were in a terrible spot
(b2b games @ Atlanta – Home vs. Dallas).
They ended the game with 22 assists, which isn’t a huge number for a
professional NBA team, but if we take in account that the Magic had 11,
9, 14, 18, 17, 20, 19 and 15 assists in their last games, we can agree
that it was a nice number for them. They also scored 42 points in the
paint against one of the best interior defensive teams! Also their 3
newest players (Hedo Turkoglu, Jason Richardson and Gilbert Arenas)
combined to shot only 7-30 FG, so there is some room for improvement
tonight.
I’ve saw that game and in some point of the game the Mavericks used a
zone defense similar to what the Spurs did last night and eventually
will use tonight and the Magic reacted pretty well by attacking the rim.
If Popovich decides to use this defensive scheme I expect the Magic to
react pretty well and torch them with Dwight Howard.
With the Spurs playing with a small lineup mostly of the time I
expect Howard to have a huge edge down the post. He has been a beast in
the last games and already against the Spurs this season he finished the
game with 26 points and 18 rebounds.
My projected line for this contest is 202 points and in my opinion
we have the proper edge to make a Single Dime Play with the Over in
here.
Pick: 3 units (Single Dime Play) on 701/702 Over 198 @ -110 / 1.91 on Bookmaker
Good Luck
