Spartan, congrats on a fantastic 2013 CFB and NFL season. Best of luck and continued success.
From Spartan's home page:
Here are some final numbers for football. In college ball we concluded at 93-67, +43.17 units profit. That's a solid 58% winners. In the NFL the final mark stands at 95-61, 60% winners and +61 units profit. So between both college & NFL we ended up +104.17 units. All based obviously on a 1-3 star rating system.
Is it so hard for other paid handicappers to also do the above?
Personally, I appreciate when a handicapper shows what he accomplished for a specific sport. I don't really care what a handicappers record was since 1996 or his last 1500 plays. I am most interested in what the handicapper's record is/was for a current season or one that has just concluded, or the previous year. I also appreciate when the handicapper breaks it down for each sport, each season. IMO, that is the only way a potential client can really know how well a handicapper performed, but hey that's just me.
The reason why I appreciate that information, is because I or a possible client may only want to bet the NFL or MLB and don't really care about all the other sports like CBB or NBA for whatever reason. Yea, I know, each sport can be found in the handicappers pick thread, but what we also know, is that is ridiculous to try and do if you don't keep track yourself from the beginning of a certain sports season. I would have to think that with so many people here at Pregame that some or even many would appreciate that kind of specific information, as opposed to every sport for every season lumped together.
IMO, Spartan's up-front way of informing the Pregame participants of his records for each sport, each season, is something that you do not usually see in this "what have you done for me lately" kind of business.
