I've been here since day one. Some of you don't know me because you're fairly new to the site. On the other hand there are many folks on here that have known me since day one. I've always prided myself on being a stand up guy. Someone who says what he means but makes every effort to be a straight shooter. I try to avoid the arguing back and forth and keep my posts upbeat and supportive of everybody concerned. Well, here's the deal guys. I am self imposing a one week ban on myself from making any sales on the site. RJ can tell you, this is on my own. I am man enough to admit to making an error, I will not make any admissions to anything else because I do value my integrity. I am subject to honest mistakes just like anyone taking the time to read this if they are being straight up about it. But, as a Pregame Pro I should be extra careful because I am held to very high standards, as it should be. I keep my records in a notebook and I am very meticulous with them. However, today I went back over every single game last NFL football season and my record should have been 82-59 by my records. 58% for +32.75 units. While that is still a solid mark the most important fact here is that I somehow miscalculated initially and posted an erroneous record. I wish I could look each and every one of you in the eye and tell you it was an honest error because that would be the truth. I'm not naive, there will be those who suspect the worst of intentions. We know there always are. I've never once been suspended by Pregame, or any site in my career. Never was any reason. But this troubles me, a helluva lot. Thus the self imposed suspension. I have a package up tonight but there will be no others for a week. I will continue to enter plays and do my work for subscribers. Like I said, this is the toughest post I've ever, ever made on here and I have made thousands through the years. Admitting to an error on a public stage is tough but it's the only right thing to do here. There will hopefully be those who understand and there will be those who want to go on the attack possibly. I can only say that I never, ever intentionally miscalculated the numbers. I am getting ready to head out to the ball park for my softball game tonight so I will be away. But I will be back later. I do apologize, and it is sincere.

The public admission and apology is just another example of what a stand-up guy you are, IMO.

In all honesty as a Pro Capper, and the numerous sites I have been on in my 21 year career, many of them big time portals, you name them and I have been on them, I can honestly say that Pregame and Pregame Pros are really a cut above in terms of honesty.
It also should be stated that of all the sites I have been on in my career and I was one of the first guys EVER to sell a play on-line, RJ Bell and Johnny Detroit are the ONLY 2 people in this malicious business that have never once screwed me over. They are honest as the day is long.
A unit here or a unit there missed or forgotten to add, out of the hundreds of plays we post yearly, it does get confusing when the bull rush is on to get over a good or bad day, get up in the wee hours of the morning and get ready for the next day with clarity and focus is difficult. Not an excuse, just a fact.
There is no more transparency from Pro's, and the heavy hand of scrutiny from the site visitors, than this site. That is a good thing. Spartan has provided quality indformation and total tranparency in here on a daily basis.
When you dwell in this forum as a Pro, and both applaud yourself on good runs and show your ass on bad runs (like my bases this year), it is for all the world to see. That is why most these competitve sites (you know who they are) would NEVER let cappers interact with the site visitors...those sites gloss things over..you can read between the lines on that statement. Pregame again is a cut above the norm and Spartan is a big reason why.
That being sad, I commend my fellow Missourian and can tell you that the guy is a stand up person. The admission of a wrong record and suspending revenue as a self imposed ban show the level of character and integrity that RJ Bell and JD have instilled in their cappers and their business model here. Spartan is a fine example of a honest sports handicapper in an arena that is full of less than honest types, for lack of a better term.

No reason for me to go into any long drawed out statement here because everything has already been stated so all i am going to say is i know Spartan did not intentionly pad his record because he didn't have to because anybody that follows him knows he is spot on with his plays and his recordkeeping and if he made a mistake like all of us have that is water under the bridge.If he feels like a self imposed 1 week suspension is needed so be it but buddy hurry back because you are a very intregal part of Pregame and your plays and support that you offer will be missed!!!

Having some problems with my the amount of characters in my forum signature, so I will post my records in my threads for the sports they pertain to.
I've been here for the past few years checking posts from the PROS and must say that they all are stand-up contributors. You sir, are a cut above the norm, as are the rest of you. For me, no harm no foul. You follow at your own risk. Good luck to all this coming football season. This is one of the better sites with a wealth of info to base our picks on.
