Taking a too-good-to-be-true number for a spin

CFL GAME-OF-THE-WEEK

Sunday, July 1, 2012 | 7:00 PM, EDT
McMahon Stadium | Calgary, Alberta

MONTREAL ALOUETTES
CALGARY STAMPEDERS

A notoriously fast starting Alo Squad
Is likely headed for a sobering reversal this year

This is an astonishing short number for Calgary

Is this Calgary Line TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE?
Probably NOT

As Trappish as it seems, this opening day number
MUST be (partial) inevitable, overwhelmingly square,
PUBLIC-PERCEPTION Montreal support/Spread

As often the case w/such Teams & Numbers
Perception=Reality

As Montreal was CFL’s Top-Dog the past Decade
64% Winners in 2000’s (#1 CFL)

The Aloes are STILL sustained by the ageless CFL Favre equivalent
MONT QB (FORTY Year Old) Anthony Calvillo
The ALL-TIME CFL Passing Leader

Other than that, Montreal began to show the signs of decline – quickly
The cracks turned into holes, &
2009-10 BTB Grey Cup Champs limped to finish w/10-9 Record

Now, the Aloes may be 2ND poorest team in EAST
In fact, the Alo Defense was practically reconstructed in the Offseason

The New Montreal Pass Defense is full of new players &
2011 Aloes were next to last in most Defensive Category
Most Notably, MONTREAL was #7 OVERALL DEFENSE (27.4 PPG Allowed)

Long story short,
Calgary will continue to press Grey Cup Champ, BC in the West
The Stampeders Defense is likely the best in the CFL
Montreal’s patchwork OL & #1 Offense should have its share of issues today
Yet, Calgary pulled off a remarkable Mid-season QB Change in 2011
Yanking Burris (likely the most Boom-Bust Talented Signal Guy in CFL)
In favor of Drew Tate, who is far more stable QB to run Stamps schemes
This carrying thru to 2012
Should mean huge troubles for defensively challenged Teams
Such as Montreal

In sum,
Calgary Stampeders have reloaded
Montreal Alouettes are nearing the messy process of retooling

It all starts here in Central Alberta; Stamps should roll

2 UNIT
MONTREAL
CALGARY -2½

All the best, guys

I can now get -2 @ -105.  Is it a trap?

Thanks, guys....Sincerely downgraded this to 2 from 3 UNIT; simply based on unknowns of OPENER, ect.  Really am a little pissed - even w/a Win...can't ever be satisfied when we leave money on the table ~ onward
