The Pittsburgh Steelers alternate uniform was unveiled and will be worn for two games during the 2012 season
The throwback uniform represents the jerseys worn during the 1934 season and shows a unique part of the Steelers’ history during its 80th season celebration.
Steelers’ President Art Rooney II said:
“We wanted to use a jersey that we wore early in our history as we celebrate our 80th season.” “We have never used those jerseys since the 1934 season and I think our fans will be excited to see our players wear them in action this year.”
The Steelers will wear their traditional black helmets when they wear their alternate uniform.
