Never mind the crazy huge free agent signings. The NFL just turned into the NBA with the Texans giving the Browns a second round draft pick in order to take Brock Osweiler and his monster contract off their hands.
Don't think for a second the Browns actually want Osweiler. Even they realize he was the worst starting quarterback in the NFL. The Browns will pay Osweiler his outrageous salary this year and then cut him next season with minimal penalty.
The Texans now can pursue a quarterback in free agency, perhaps Tony Romo, while the Browns gain an extra second round draft choice.
Creative thinking by the Browns. I wonder if it will start a trend? This kind of stuff happens a lot in the NBA. I hate to see it start occurring in the NFL.

Theres a few more pix involved in there too + supposedly browns wont keep him cause they will trade/release.
Goodell needs to make himself useful and step in to veto this trade. If I'm not mistaken, NFL teams aren't allowed to trade picks for money/cap space relief. That's clearly the case here with POS Osweiler.
NFL already approved.
Disappointing to hear. Clear case of trading to clear cap space in my view.
