Nice little start to the year last week with the Titans money line coming in late. This week, I see a ton of value in going against a couple of big name teams with a ton of issues.
Lions ML +260 - I have seen a lot of "what is wrong with Aaron Rodgers" threads. Something is certainly off with no. 12, and I think it boils down to some sort of rift between him and McCarthy. Not to mention the fact that he isn't on the same page with Jordy, and Cobb and Adams cannot separate from a defender. Lacy is still overweight, and now Clay has issues with his lower body. All of these items lead me to believe that the Lions will keep this game close. Unfortunately for me, the Lions are one of the worst 4th quarter teams around. I will have to hope they clean up their issues, keep the game close, and make a couple of plays late to win. I think the Lions should be able to keep the Packers passing game in check, and the Lions should be able to control the clock with their running game. Losing Abdullah may be a plus as I have never been a fan of his fumbling.
San Francisco +350 - That Seattle O line is leaky. Going against another strong front four should have Russell Wilson running for his life all afternoon. I guess the loss of Marshawn Lynch is more substantial than first thought. No running game to speak of, limited passing ability, and having to damn near pitch a shutout to win should once again doom the Seahawks. SF seems to be able to move the ball against quality defenses, so the edge seems clear cut to the Niners. Not excited about the 49ers travel schedule to start the season, but this price is too good to pass up.
SD +115 - That Colts D is just flat out awful. And the offense is no gem either. Bolts are too potent on offense.
Jets +125 - 10 days to prepare, plus the re-emergence of Matt Forte should allow for the Jets to stay in this one. Lack of weapons on offense for KC. I'll take the overall better "team" in this one.
Over 51.5 Chargers/Colts - I think this one is close to 40 by halftime (and that could just be the Chargers by themselves).
