TLF18- What offense was really a test for this great Carolina defense? Before you mention Green Bay and Arizona, I believe that we can all agree that the Green Bay offense had problems all year. We might also agree that Arizona had a QB playing with an injured finger on his throwing hand and no mobility as well (quite a lot to overcome). Denver has a QB that can read the field of play as good or better than anyone in the game and he has a lot of offensive weapons to lean on. If his offensive weapons do their respective jobs- they will score on that defense (imo).
The challenge to Denver is stopping Cam's run and all that it affords Carolina's offense. I never said it would be easy but Cam has been stopped before and people seem to be forgetting this because of Carolina's successful season. Both teams will be challenged for sure and the best execution by both offense and defense will win.
I'm not defending Carolina's schedule, I'm criticing Denver's weak offense.
Denver has a great D, no doubt. But the Pats had no O-line and no attempt at a running game. Still, kudos to any team that beats Brady, but the Pats were onedimensional with a decimated line.
And... By most measures Carolina has a very good defense themselves.
