No, it's not because they are a ground-and-pound team that can't ground nor pound ranking 25th in rushing and 30th in run defense.
No, it's not because Kirk Cousins is a bottom-six quarterback.
No, it's not because they give up more than 25 points per game.
The answer is, according to Hatcher, because the Redskins get penalized more because officials don't like their team nickname.
Oh, thanks for clearing that up Jason. Except why then are the Redskins third in fewest penalty yards per game?
