of the year.
We hear it time and time again, "desperation". Lions are desperate. Lions were desperate at home last week against Denver and desperate once again on the road against Seattle. Lions have talent and the Lions are desperate. Please, give it a rest already. I don't buy it and neither should you and here's why.
Lions run game is non-existent. They have none. Nobody. Joique Bell is out and there's not one person that can force Seattle's defense to be honest against them, certainly not a rookie named Ameer Abdullah. They rank dead last in the NFL in the rush department for a reason, with 2.6 YPC and 135 total yards through 3 games. Granted, they faced off against the Broncos and Vikings who have pretty stout defenses but what do you think Seattle is when compared to these two? If their goal is to run the football tonight in Seattle to make that Seahawk honest, they're going to have to do it without one of their best run blockers and pass protectors in TE Brandon Pettigrew.
Want even more arguments to lay the 9.5 tonight? LB Deandre Levy has been ruled out for that Detroit defense. Pete Carroll and his staff are better in ALL ASPECTS of the coaching game than Detroit's Jim Caldwell and his staff. Good ol Pete is doing the right thing sitting Lynch tonight because he knows more than anybody else, that defensive front of Detroit is pathetic. He doesn't need Lynch tonight, he has faith and confidence rookie Thomas Rawls and veteran Fred Jackson can do just as much damage against them as Lynch would.
To add more fuel to the fire, Seattle is one of three teams without an INT through the 1st 3 games of the season, I'll go out on the limb (sense the sarcasm), this streak not only gets broken but gets broken in style.
Bet the Seahawks -9.5 and cash out tomorrow.
