This doesn't surprise me at all, but I am growing tired of seeing guys say they have no interest in coaching in the NFL, then going there for a year or two (like Spurrier) only to head back to school. Saban screwed the Bears before they hired Lovie Smith, saying he had no interest in pro football and proceeded to take the Miami job. Hopefully, we won't see this guy back in the NFL anytime soon...
This guy thought he fooled everyone....when in reality - he was just trying to fool himself

I think this should end the debate about great college coaches being successful in the NFL once and for all. Saban was a failure in my opinion just like Pitino in the NBA and should stick to the college game. I give Pete Carroll a lot of credit for realizing what he does best and not getting tempted by the almighty dollar.
I also love how Saban waits for the day of his former school's biggest game of the year to steal headlines from them AND goes to an SEC rival. Can't wait until LSU/Alabama next year...mark your calendars for November 10th in Tuscaloosa!
