I have been immersed in the NFL for the past month. I drive around town with my NFL channel on all the time, and I know every team's Season Win number to the Decimal point. (Sea is 11.1, etc).
I have to say it drives me crazy when the 'experts' start making their predictions. You would think all of them when introducing a team would say "Vegas thinks the Az Cards are an 8.5 wins team, here is my opinion on that". Instead they all say "Az won 11 games last year, but I expect them to regress". Further, they spend times ranking teams in divisions that a sharp 5th grader could do......As a serious sports investor, I am frustrated by how much time is spent on all of this.......if I have to hear one more expert painstakingly outline that they like Indy to win the AFC South, and Houston to finish 2nd I am going to lose my mind.
When they are breaking down a game with a big point spread where they like the dog they also always seem to say "I DO think GB is the better team than Chicago, but I think Chicago can hang here because.............." I mean, is there anyone in the world who doesn't know GB is better than Chicago?
I have to say my ears DO pick up when I hear out of the box predictions, sometime crazy ones! Pursuant to that let me throw out some crazy ones:
1. Denver will have a QB controversy in December when Manning starts to struggle and has a nagging injury
2. The Titans will contend to win the AFC South
3. The Eagles will win the S Bowl
4. The Az Cards will contend to win the NFC West
5. The Chic Bears will have the worst record in the NFC
