A little NFL Season win total talk with Pauly & Teddy
Teddy doesn't really have strong thoughts on NFL Win Totals yet, but he is working on them. Last year his Best Bet was Carolina Under, which cashed.
Everyone seems to think Minnesota can be a playoff team and Teddy agrees with that. They are the sexy pick, along with the 49ers under their win total. If you wanted to play that San Fran Under, you should have done it earlier cause all the value is gone now.
San Fran is a train wreck, but they are an obvious one and Teddy likes to look at the ones that aren't obvious.
Buffalo is another sexy pick and both Teddy and Pauly feel that they just need a QB to get them over the hump.
San Diego has plenty of distractions going on as they may be leaving town and Gates is gone for he first 4 games. Teddy feels though that there is enough talent and veteran leadership that they should be able to overcome it. Rivers is still very good, the OL is solid and he still has some nice playmakers.
The Raiders and Jags have been getting plenty of Over money and both can understand the Raiders, but not so much on the Jags. Oakland has a decent talent base, while the Jags are in their 3rd year of this regime and that's usually when you see the most improvements.
Teddy states that usually a good strategy for betting Win Total is to bet on the low teams and under on the high teams. That seems to not have been working the last few years though.
Any dumpster fires? The Eagles are a team that has dumpster fire potential.
St Louis is an intriguing team for Pauly as he could see them winning 6 games or 9 games. Teddy states yhat their offensive philosophy has changed as they will look to grind it out, while their defense should dominate games. That sets up for some nice Under plays in Rams games this year.
The Seahawks have a bunch of guys that are requiring new deals and that is a red flag for him. Ownership must prioritize for their needs and some players in the locker room will tune out because of that. Still Teddy doesn't feel that Wilson is one of those that is not going to be affected by all that. There isn't much value on betting Seattle either way.
Teddy is not sold on Denver. Payton still doesn't look right, they have a new HC in Kubiak, the defense isn't as good and they still have depth issues.
In the AFC East it seems like Vegas likes all the teams, while The Pats are the only team taking Under money right now. They are still lined at 10 wins and should also be a strong team.
Miami made a major splash in Free Agency and Tannehill looks very good, so their has been over money coming in on the Fish.
The Bills should be very good this year, while the Jets have taken a ton of Over money so far.
