One of the most important things when you try to make money gambling is know what to spend your time on, and what to avoid. I am a firm believer that this separates the strongest gamblers from the more recreational ones.
Tonight is the NBA draft. It's fun. It certainly WILL help your 2016 NBA handicapping to watch it. A little bit. I will be at Lagasse Stadium with Ken Thomson to discuss it a bit this evening (a better description would be to say I will listen to others discussing it). However, it most certainly is not an optimal use of my time. Another example is watching the US OPEN Golf. Yes, it is awfully relaxing to sit back and watch a Major.......but recognize as a sports bettor when you are really 'working' and when you aren't!
Tonight is opening night in Football and I am excited! The CFL opener has an Ottawa team that lost a lot of close games in 2014, playing in Montreal against a team that came on strong last year. I AM in action tonight, with a 1* Play!
Many pros use July as a month to take some time off, and i do feel it is an optimal time to scale back the work time. However, with CFL and WNBA going strong in July there ARE MANY sports to bet, and some great opportunities to take advantage of early Football lines.
In the NFL I firmly expect Brady will have his suspension reduced, I just fired in a bet on NE +3-115 @ Dallas NFL week 5 (this will be the Patriot's 4th game). Just one of many great bets one can make during this "slow" time of the year.....remember CGT (Formerly Cantor) has lines up on EVERY NFL game..........and tomorrow Golden Nugget will put up their CFB Games Of The Year!
On the capping front, I have a combo CFL/MLB package, 1 play each, and may add a prop! Let' Roll!
