Ed Graney is a writer for the Review-Journal and joins the show to talk mainly about Roger Goodell's stupid decision to cancel a fantasy football Convention weekend in Las Vegas.
Goodell has said many times that he cares so much about the fans, but cancelling the convention is just another way of showing that he doesn't really care about them. It's a joke.
He lines the pockets of the people he works for, but when it comes to the fans there just seems to be a different set of rules. Goodell seems to really have a stance against Las Vegas and it shows when they play a game at Wembley Stadium and there are books right there at the stadium that you can bet at. Hypocritical.
Ken wonders why the NFL waited till a month before the convention to cancel it. Many rooms had been been booked for the event and people had already paid for their airline tickets and stuff like that. Ed says that it's just a matter of the NFL doing what they want, because they can. So who pays the people back for the money they spent on rooms and airline tickets. Not fair at all to the fans.
Ed would not be surprised to see this event go off in LA next year. There are two more events coming up involving the NFL this summer and everyone is just waiting to see what happens with those events.
Go to NFL.com and you will see Fantasy football everywhere on that site, and a lot of players do play fantasy football as well, yet they cancel this event. Last year millions and millions of dollars were give to the NFL by Draft Kings and Fan Duel.
On to Tiger Woods, who Ed wrote an article about 7 years ago, saying that Tiger would never win another major.
He is 50/1 for the US Open. Ed feels that anyone who is betting money on Tiger at this point in his career is just throwing their money away. He is just awful right now.
Is Tiger on PEDs? Not sure but he did go see a doctor 13 times that has been linked to PEDs, when Tiger could have seen any Doctor in the nation. Makes ya think a bit.
