Yesterday was the start of NFL Free Agency and so Ken and Scott will take a look at some of what happened.
It was a hectic day for sure and the trade of Foles to the Rams for Bradford seems to be the headline of the day. Ken is a little surprised that Kelly gave up on Foles so early and they still may be going after Mariota in the draft, but there is no guarantee they will get him. The potential is their for Bradford, but can he stay on the field long enough to help this team? It's a risky deal for the Eagles for sure.
The trade does help the Rams, who need a good QB to lead their offense, which will give them a good compliment for their defense. Ken feels that Foles is that guy to help this Rams offense.
On to the Saints, who traded away Jimmy Graham to Seattle for their Center. Graham fell off last season, but should really help the Seahawks and Wilson, who now has a got to TE to go to. Unger should help the Saints protect Brees, but they still need more help along that line.
Derrell Revis is now going back to the Jets, while Frank Gore is off to the Colts. Ken commends Revis, who got his ring last year and is now back at New York where he really does love to play.
Ken Feels that maybe the Colts could have got Demarco Murray instead, but also states that Gore is a solid back that will help the Colts this year and he is durable as well.
The Raven traded Ngata to Detroit, which does help the lions fill the void left by Suh. Ken likes Ngata and is a good replacement for Detroit, who really had to make the move. He is a great short term fix for the Lions.
