According to the Westgate Superbook The Pats, Seahawks, Packers and Broncos are the top 4 Superbowl contenders.
Before they talk about those teams, Scott and Ken take a look at the Dallas Cowboys. Do the Cowboys really have what it takes to be a true SB contender with the Defense that they have? Dallas has to be able to run the ball in order to win, but should they meet up with say the Lions in the post season they may have a problem doing that cause the Lions stop the run very well. Detroit has been winning ugly, but they are still winning.
Ken has been impressed with Dallas, especially the way they fought back to win the game vs Philly after blowing a 21-0 lead. Dallas is better than Ken expected them to be this year.
The Broncos are listed as 5-1 odds to win it all, but Scott does have concerns with this team, especially at QB with Manning. He does like the way they have changed their game plan going more to the run, but is it because their is something wrong with Manning?
Ken is concerned as Manning is not throwing the ball well right now, plus with the running game clicking he isn't throwing the ball all that much and his is a rhythm QB that needs to throw the ball a bit more or he just won't be as effective. It will be interesting to see if they test a banged up Cincy secondary on Monday night.
The Packers are off a loss to Buffalo, but it was a tough spot for them. The Defense really played well in that game. They did have their opportunity but losing to Buffalo really did hurt.
Scott feels there are concerns with Seattle especially if the running game gets stuffed. That could be a big problem of they take on a tough Lions defense in the postseason. Still Ken feels that if Seattle gets homefield then they could go back to the Superbowl.
The Patriots have no real leaks on either side of the ball right now.
As far as a sleeper team from Ken he feels that the Bengals have a shot. They do have the defense to compete and their offense is getting healthier.
Scott's sleeper team is the Baltimore Ravens, who do have some issues in the secondary, but still they have the offense and the coaching to pull some surprises and at 30-1 Scott feels this is a good longshot play.
