It's Tuesday and that means it's time for this week's Rants and Raves.
Andy starts it off with a Rant, which occurred at the end of the Notre Dame/ FSU Game. He does state that the refs made the right call, but the rule itself should be thrown out. He wonders why the illegal pick is even a rule as it really means that teams are playing 10 on 10 football, as opposed to 11 on 11 ball.
Steve has a rant on Mike Tomlin, who punted the ball last night on a 4th and inches in Houston territory. Steve has stated so many times before that some of these coaches should have an apprentice telling them what to do, rather than letting these coaches make the calls. The percentages are in a teams favor by going for it at that point.
A rave is one on Jeff Fisher, who pulled a great trick play on a punt return and then he called for a great fake punt play deep in his own territory, late in that game.
Seattle outgained the Rams by 200 yards in the game, but still lost the game. Scott was listening to a show where someone stated that that the Rams drove up an down on the Seahawks in that game.
Is there anything wrong with Seattle right now. Steve says no and is a bit miffed why most polls he has seen has taken Seattle out of the top 5 and some out of the top 10. Are they crazy?
Scott feels that the media needs to go back and watch these games and do their homework before spouting off about these games, because they are getting them all wrong.
