Oh brother! As I scanned today one item made me laugh out loud. That's always a good thing. Almost as funny as seeing a thread devoted to Geno Smith that drags on and on and on. Sorry, a little much needed levity it my view is needed. Admittedly likely very little. So, what is the item that I got a kick out of? It happened to be on this date back in 1880, yes, 1880 that the National league kicked out the Cincinnati Reds. They were guilty of the heinous act of selling beer. That's right, expelled from the league for peddling some suds. Good lord agnes, Gussie Busch must be spinning in his grave at the thought. Of course nowadays you cannot get through a piss break in a game without hearing some Bud commerical. I cannot help but wonder what the commercials will be like, or for that matter the games themselves in another 134 years from now. Chew that one over in your brain for a bit. Makes you think.
Okay, a free NFL winner. Tonight I am suggesting playing the under 46 in the game between the Champs and the Redskins. I personally passed on this one. I could have hung out a play and made the cash register jingle but my clients know that is not how I roll. I think the side in this one is too close to bet on. But that is just my view. If I wanted something for some action it would be small on the under.
Now onto the business side. As I always do I believe in doing a review and updating the football records at the conclusion of every weekend. No spin jobs or garbage. Just some hard cold numbers. Customers like to see that sort of thing before ivesting their hard earned bucks on selections. So, here it is. To date in college football the mark stands at 33-17, that's a solid 66% winners after a respectable total of 50 games released. The Triples stand at 4-1. We are up 16.8 units in the college game. Turning to the NFL the record is currently 18-15, we are up 4.05 units profit. The Triples are also at 4-2. So overall in football we are up a solid 20.85 units. We dropped a tough one saturday as Alabama melted down in the final moments but rebounded soundly sunday as I was all over the Patriots over the Bengals in the featured release.
I can honestly say I love some games I see forthcoming this weekend, both in college and pro. I assure you I am working hard as always to put my clients and myself in the best possible position for success. Good luck as always guys. And one final note. Congrats to all the Royals fans out there. It's been a long, long time coming. Enjoy!
