Sunday were rolling with SAN FRANCISCO-3 at AZ Cards!!! I loveee a team coming off a devastating loss like San Fran. They will have fire and vengeance on there next opponent.
That's what we thought about INDY last week opening up at home, but...

Focus and attention to detail has been talked about all week during practice.
The 49ers loss to the Bears had nothing to do with focus and attention to detail. They lost because the 49ers have a DB Chicago picked on constantly, and Kap threw a few timely picks. Then again, one can easily argue the refs shouldn't have called the Boldin "hold" on Gores long TD run that was taken away, or too many ticky-tack calls, etc.. (read: incompetent refs)

1. Kaepernick is 3-0 in 3 starts with over 800 yards passing and 6tds. He loves himself some Cardinals!
The 49ers have historically beaten the Cardinals, with or without Kap. I'd credit his team more (esp. the 49ers front 7) than Kap in those victories.

2. PALMER wont play with that shoulder nerve issue, which leaves it up to Drew Stanton.
I will admit that is going to be a substantial issue. Stanton is a game manager (e.g. - Alex Smith) but is a tough cookie who needs to work on his anticipation routes better.
On the flip side, the Chicago's O-line wasn't the greatest, and the 49ers let Cutler pick them apart. I'll even say that NYG's front 4 last week looked much stronger than whatever front 4 the 49ers put out there against Chicago, and I'd consider the AZ O-line = CHI's O-line. Stanton may not be Palmer, but if he's given the same amount of time to throw as Cutler, the 49ers will get lit up in the secondary. His completion percentage might be low, but if you watched the AZ/NYG game last week, Stanton's inaccuracy issues has to do more with jumping the gun on routes than actually being inaccurate (e.g. - Derek Anderson, Ryan Lindley, etc.) I have seen Stanton throw into tight windows and succeed..

Ladies and gentlemen, the Cards just faced the mighty NY GIANTS last week. Let me repeat that, the mighty NY GIANTS!
Yet, the Giants were favored by 2 and AZ was expected to lose with a backup QB. Whoops.. so much for that plan.

3. U dont think the San Francisco defense is f*cking pissed off and will lay the smack down on Stanton and injured Andre Ellington??? I means whos there 3rd string rb anyways??? Ellington is about at 65% (at best) no way will he handle the rock more than 15 times.
Yea they have Floyd and Fitzgerald, so what.
49ers defense got
Patrick Willis, Justin Smith, Ahmad Brooks, antonie bethea, eric reid. Should I continue???
In the NFL, what you have is just as important as what you don't have since the NFL is all about exploiting weaknesses in the opponent (while playing your team's strengths).
What the 49ers don't have right now is a pass rush, esp. with Ray McDonald out (see 2nd half of CHI/SF game for more info on that.)
What they also don't have is a 2nd or even 3rd DB. Jimmie Ward - the Cards will hunt you down every time you step on the field, just like the Cardinal's opponents hunt down Jarraud Powers.
Floyd and Fitzgerald? So what? Are you kidding me? You have two guys that are great pass catchers in traffic, can run after they catch the ball, and then on top of that they have other WRs that either have really good hands, speed, or both?
The 49ers weakness is their passing D. The Cardinal's strength is their passing game. It's not a coincidence the last time the 49ers/Cards played it was a close match.. and ex-kicker Jay Feely missed 2 makeable FGs.
And unlike previous years, the Cardinals finally have multiple tight ends that can catch the ball. In prior years, the Cardinals only had one guy that can catch the ball.

4. Patrick Peterson- Best corner in the game, yup I know that. Boldin and crabtree gonna have a tough game. Look for stevie Johnson to get some looks?!?!
If the 49ers are going to win, the 49ers will go against Jarraud Powers, and undersized and frequently torched DB. (He is basically the equivalent of Culliver, Cox and Ward.)

5. SAN Francisco offensive line is one of the best in NFL! Gore and Carlos Hyde gonna run all day long in the dessert. No way in hell will the Cards defense be able to run thru and pressure Kaep.
San Francisco OL one of the best? Hmm. They sure haven't played like it this year. A good reason for that would be that mentally-weak guy named Jonathan Martin. Look for Calais Campbell to have a field day with him if he does not get any help.
With that said, the Cardinals D is still pretty decent - especially at home. They are pretty good against the run (3rd in the league), although their Pass D needs work (mainly because Jarraud Powers is really not that good.)
Meanwhile, the 49ers only are 13th in the league in rushing - despite playing two teams that really have poor run defenses (Cowboys, Bears).

Look for a pissed off 49ers team to rebound and lay the Smacketh on Arizona.
Believe me I know AZ is a tough place to win in, I know. But when u piss off a team and a team is focused and determined. watch out. Yes im talking about u Arizona.
49ers 28
Cardinals 17
49ers easily cover the -3!!!!!!!!
I do think the Cardinals will lose a close one, but to say the 49ers will cover easily is foolhardy. This game is basically going to come down to which DB plays worse against the WR/TE that they're covering.
I'm leaning AZ with the points, or SF straight up.
In all, this game is not as easy as you think with the points, or the line would've shot up by now.
Don't underestimate a team that is very mentally tough in the 4th quarter, and more importantly, beat a team in SEA despite having the QB throw 4 picks. AZ plays pretty well when up against competition that is ranked "higher."
