It's going to be a wild ride.
Bears opened up their season with a 23-20 overtime loss at home against the Bills and what they proved once again is they can't stop the run. They gave up almost 200 yards on the ground to Buffalo. Each and every Chicago Bears defender doesn't understand what being disciplined really means. Not only that, their safeties are non existent. A young mobile QB in E.J. Manuel, who came into the season with a career passing rating of 64 in road games, was efficient and more than capable of moving the chains. What exactly do you think a veteran mobile playoff/super bowl tested QB in Colin Kaepernick is going to do tonight? With veteran running backs and veteran wide receivers. 49ers WR Michael Crabtree is 100% healthy and ready to go. The motivation to impress at their new home gives us an edge as well. (Minnesota didn't impress at their venue but there were circumstances surrounding that game that don't apply to this game).
To many question marks surrounding the Bears defense but not only that, the offense as well. People want to rant and rave about all the injuries/problems in the 49ers secondary but you NEED to have talent to exploit those problems. Cutler's top 3 WR's in Marshall, Jeffery and Morgan are banged up. Even if one of these guys gives it a go, they will not be 100% and just won't be as effective. Marshall has been having serious ankle problems, Jeffery hamstring issues and Morgan with his groin. His center Roberto Garza and left guard Slauson are battling injuries as well.
